Flammulina 30% – Flammulina velutipes

Flammulina: the characteristic winter mushroom Flammulina velutipes, known as velvet shank, is a wood-dwelling mushroom that appears in nature chiefly during colder months. Its golden-yellow to orange-brown caps and dark, finely velvety lower stem make it recognizable. It often grows in clusters on dead or weakened hardwood. From an edible mushroom to a concentrated extract Flammulina also has a place in East Asian food culture. The slender, pale enoki familiar in Asian cuisine is now generally distinguished as Flammulina filiformis. Our product is identified as Flammulina velutipes; species and origin are recorded during raw-material inspection. We use the fruiting body for this extract, not a mixture of mycelium and grain substrate. At least 30% total polysaccharides We standardize our Flammulina extract to at least 30% total polysaccharides. Polysaccharides are complex carbohydrates naturally present in mushrooms. A total polysaccharide percentage is not the same as a separately measured beta-glucan content. The two figures must not be treated as equivalent without analysis. Extraction and natural composition During processing, water-soluble compounds are extracted from dried mushroom material; the extract is then concentrated and dried. Alongside polysaccharides, Flammulina naturally contains proteins, amino acids and sterols. Scientific literature also describes Flammulina proteins such as FIP-fve. The composition of the whole mushroom, however, is not identical to that of a concentrated extract. 60 plant-based capsules Each capsule contains 300–350 mg of Flammulina extract. A jar contains 60 capsules, representing approximately 18–21 g of extract. We use plant-based pullulan capsules derived from tapioca rather than gelatin or HPMC. No grain powder, sugar or artificial colors or flavorings are added. Quality and purity Our checks cover species identity, fruiting-body origin, extraction method and the declared polysaccharide level. Raw materials are tested before processing by an independent German laboratory and are not irradiated during production. A standardized content describes composition, not a guaranteed medical effect. Use and storage The general directions are 2–3 capsules daily with water, preferably on an empty stomach, about 30 minutes before or 90 minutes after a meal. A personalized regimen of 4–6 capsules per day is outside these general directions and requires separate assessment. Keep the jar tightly closed, dry and dark at 10–25 °C, out of children's reach.
